Acceptance of the Terms of Use and Privacy of the Service is a necessary condition for the use of our website.

These Terms of Use and Privacy regulate the collection, processing and use of your personal and non-personal information as a user of the Service, from the date of entry into force that appears in the header. Likewise, the conditions of use of the website and its functions are indicated.

To process your personal data, the Service complies with current local and European legislation, as well as its development regulations.

2- Description and Use of the Service

Through the Service, and in application of the Law for the environmental and economic sustainability of the island of Formentera, which regulates the entrance to the island, circulation and parking on public roads of all types of motor vehicles during the busiest periods of the year, you can request and check the authorization to access the island, circulate and park on public roads with the indicated motor vehicle for a specific number of days or for the entire season.

However, we do not exercise any control over these sites or their contents, which are actually subject to their own terms and conditions. Neither do we assume any association or responsibility for them, nor do we guarantee their technical availability, quality, reliability, accuracy or veracity.

4- Intellectual and Industrial Property

The content and information of the Service (among others, trademarks, logos, data, text, image or computer code), as well as the hardware or software elements used to provide such content and information, are the property of the Service or has the corresponding authorizations for its use.

For this reason and by virtue of the provisions of national and European regulations on intellectual property, the modification, reproduction, duplication, copying, distribution, sale, resale and other forms of exploitation for commercial or equivalent purposes of the Service and its content are prohibited.

For any other use of the content of the Service, you need, in advance and in writing, our consent or, as the case may be, that of the authors of the content.

5.1- Content

You can contribute to the Service by sending us a message to our email address and through the contact forms available on the website (hereinafter "Content"). Your Content will remain yours but we may use it in different ways for the correct provision of the Service, such as: reformat it, translate it into other languages, edit it to provide clarity, correct errors or distribute it to the competent organizations and authorities.

7.1.2- Data provided voluntarily

This information will consist of:
  • The personal information that could be contained in the messages sent through the contact channels established by the Service, for example your name, email, telephone and comment.
  • The personal information required to request the seasonal authorization to access the island, circulate and park on public roads. Specifically, you will be asked for the following information:
    1. In the case of vehicles owned by individuals or legal entities residing in Formentera:
      1. Identification or ID document of the applicant and owner of the vehicle
      2. License plate of the vehicle
      3. Vehicle registration
      4. Insurance receipt of the vehicle, if the applicant has to prove that they are the first or second driver
    2. In the case of vehicles owned by natural persons not resident on the island who own a home in Formentera:
      1. Identification or ID document of the applicant and owner of the vehicle
      2. Document to reference the home (IBI, waste tax or other supporting document) in the name of the owner of the vehicle
      3. License plate of the vehicle
      4. Vehicle registration
      5. Insurance receipt of the vehicle, if the applicant has to prove that they are the first or second driver
    3. In the case of vehicles owned by persons residing in the island of Ibiza that prove the usual need to travel in Formentera for work reasons:
      1. Identification or ID document of the applicant and owner of the vehicle
      2. Certificate of residence from a municipality in Ibiza
      3. Document to prove employment reasons (employment contract or other supporting document)
      4. License plate of the vehicle
      5. Vehicle registration
      6. Insurance receipt of the vehicle, if the applicant has to prove that they are the first or second driver
    4. In the case of vehicles owned by people residing in Formentera who can prove the need to travel due to serious family circumstances:
      1. Identification or ID document of the applicant and owner of the vehicle
      2. License plate of the vehicle
      3. Vehicle registration
      4. Justify the serious family circumstances
      5. Insurance receipt of the vehicle, if the applicant has to prove that they are the first or second driver
    5. In the case of duly accredited vehicles serving people with reduced mobility:
      1. Identification or ID document of the applicant
      2. License plate of the vehicle
      3. Vehicle parking card for people with reduced mobility
    6. In the case of official and public service vehicles, including in any case those of the security forces and bodies, firefighting, ambulances and health system vehicles, hearses, civil protection, public and school transport, taxis, waste and public cleaning:
      1. Description of the service provided
      2. Type of vehicle (car, motorcycle, truck...)
      3. License plate of the vehicle
    7. In the case of rental vehicles that are authorized to circulate in accordance with article 6 of Law 7/2019:
      1. License plate of the vehicle
      2. Vehicle registration, stating the service for which it is intended equivalent to Public - Rent without driver
      3. Renting/leasing contract or equivalent document, if the vehicle is not owned by the company
    8. In the case of vehicles for transporting goods and merchandise, as well as commercial distribution:
      1. Name of the company
      2. NIF
      3. Description of the type of activity
      4. License plate of the vehicle
      5. Vehicle registration
    9. In the case of tractors, excavators and similar vehicles:
      1. License plate of the vehicle
      2. Vehicle registration
    10. In the case of duly accredited vehicles of public interest services:
      1. Description of the service provided
      2. Tipus de vehicle (turisme, moto, camió…)
      3. License plate of the vehicle
      4. Vehicle registration
    11. In the case of historic vehicles associated with classic vehicle clubs:
      1. Identification or ID document of the applicant and owner of the vehicle
      2. License plate of the vehicle
      3. Vehicle registration
      4. Insurance receipt of the vehicle, if the applicant has to prove that they are the first or second driver
      5. Document to prove membership of a classic vehicle club
  • The personal information required to request specific authorization to access the island, circulate and park on public roads for a specific number of days. Specifically, you will be asked for the following information:
    1. In the case of visitor vehicles intended for private use:
      1. License plate of the vehicle
      2. Vehicle registration
    2. In the case of visitor vehicles intended for private use by people residing on the island of Ibiza:
      1. Identification or ID document of the applicant and owner of the vehicle
      2. Certificate of residence of a municipality in Ibiza
      3. License plate of the vehicle
      4. Vehicle registration
    3. In the case of electric visitor vehicles:
      1. License plate of the vehicle
      2. Vehicle registration
    4. In the case of hybrid visitor vehicles:
      1. License plate of the vehicle
      2. Vehicle registration
  • The personal information required to verify that your authorization has been granted to access the island, circulate and park on public roads with the indicated motor vehicle, such as the license plate of your vehicle..
  • The personal information required to determine the amount of the corresponding fee as well as its possible exemptions and/or bonuses, in each case, such as documentation proving your place of residence or an employment contract in Formentera.

7.1.3- Those provided by third parties


  • The one provided by payment systems or credit card processors, such as the time of purchase or its amount.
  • Public sources.

7.2- Rights

We inform you that the completion of the forms is voluntary. However, if you do not fill in the required fields (marked with an asterisk or similar indication) the use of some functions of the site will not be possible or will be limited.

The personal data that you provide us will be incorporated and will be processed in the files owned by the Service, in order to be able to attend to your requests.

You can exercise at any time the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restrict processing, opposition and portability of your personal data by email addressed to: info@formentera.eco or to the postal address: Plaça de la Constitució 1, San Francesc Xavier, 07860 - Formentera, Balearic Islands, Spain.

In both cases, you must identify yourself with your name and surnames, and perhaps with a copy of your DNI or national ID, if necessary.

In the event that you have granted consent for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the legality of the processing based on the consent prior to its withdrawal.

In addition, if you consider that there is a problem with the way in which we are handling your data, you can direct your claims to the corresponding data protection authority, the Spanish Data Protection Agency being the one indicated in the case of Spain.

7.3- Use of Data

The Service will use the data collected to:

  • Manage and update the service (the legal basis being our legitimate interest in maintaining and keeping the service up to date and in good condition).
  • Respond to your requests (the legal basis being our legitimate interest in responding to and resolving queries from our users).
  • Manage, approve, deny, modify, revoke or cancel your request for access authorization (the legal basis being the application of Law 7/2019, of February 8, for the environmental and economic sustainability of the island of Formentera).
  • Determine and process the payments of the fees that you must make and issue the corresponding proof of payment (the legal basis being the PRP2023/33 Proposal for an Agreement in plenary session on the modification of the tax ordinance regulating the vehicle entry fee in the island and the approval of the vehicle roof and the period of application of the limitation of entry, circulation and parking on the public roads of the island of Formentera for the year 2024 according to Law 7/2019, of February 8, for Sustainability Environmental and Economic Law of the Island of Formentera)
  • Offer you the possibility of verifying at any time that the authorization has been granted (the legal basis being our legitimate interest in responding to and resolving queries from our users)
  • Adopting the appropriate measures for the inspection and the control of the authorizations and the documentation provided (the legal basis being the application of Law 7/2019, of February 8, for the support of environmental and economic sustainability of the island of Formentera).
  • Send you our newsletter by email with possible changes or news of interest (the legal basis being your consent, if you have accepted).

You can unsubscribe from them from the email received or by contacting us. However, you will not be able to unsubscribe from certain correspondence from us, such as messages regarding the security of your data or the terms and conditions of the Service.

  • Maintain the security of the Service, investigate illicit activities, enforce our terms and conditions and help the state security forces and bodies in the framework of their eventual investigations (the legal basis being our legitimate interest in guaranteeing and maintaining the security of the Service and its users).

Likewise, the Service may use the personal and non-personal information of users in the form of aggregated and anonymous data to show them to third parties. You may also share statistics and demographic information about users and their use of the Service with third parties. None of this will allow those third parties to personally identify you.

The Service does not use automated individual decisions.

7.3.1- In emails and contact forms

The website has TLS encryption that allows the user to send their personal data securely through standard contact forms.

The personal data collected will be subject to automated processing and incorporated into the corresponding records of processing activities and of which the Service is the data controller.

In this sense:
  • We will receive your IP, which will be used to verify the origin of the message in order to offer you adequate recommendations (for example, present the information in the correct language) and to detect possible irregularities (for example, possible cyberattack attempts on the Service), as well as data related to your ISP.
  • You can also provide us with your data via email.

7.4- Data conservation

The following indicates how long the data processed by the Service is kept for:

  • Disaggregated data will be kept without a deletion period.
  • User data will be kept for the minimum necessary, and may be kept for up to:
    • 4 years, according to art. 1964 of the Civil Code (personal actions without special term).
    • 6 years, according to art. 30 of the Commercial Code (accounting books or invoice, for example).

8- Service providers and others

There are third parties that manage part of the Service.

The Service requires them to comply with this Privacy Policy insofar as it is applicable to them and they must also have their own. However, the Service will not be responsible for compliance with said policy.

Under some circumstances, the Service may share, use, preserve or disclose Personal Information with third parties, on a non-aggregated basis:

  • To provide the Service:

Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as web hosting, monitoring statistics or web development. These service providers may collect and have access to information necessary for them to perform their functions, but they are not permitted to share or use the information for any other purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is not responsible for:

The Service reserves the right to make the modifications it deems appropriate on its website without prior notice, being able to change, delete or add both the content and services provided through it and the way in which these appear presented.

You understand and acknowledge that, even after deletion, Personal and Non-Personal Information may remain viewable in cache or if copied or stored by other users.
